As I mentioned before, I was very proud because two of my session proposals were accepted for SharePoint 2010 Evolutions Conference in London. I was about to fly there on Sunday, but because of the volcanic ash from Iceland, my flight was cancelled – by Sunday morning both UK and Hungary was closed for flights. I was trying to book a bus or train, but there was no chance to find tickets before Thursday of next week – but that day is right after the conference so can’t work for me.
It’s a very strange feeling: I should be in London, but instead of that I’m home. My SharePoint 2010 and FAST Search session was transformed into a Social Search and Search Customization session, while my Document Sets session will be made without changes. I feel powerless, but I cannot do anything: my sessions are going to run without me.
During and instead of SPEvo, I’m writing a huge article about my topics, especially SharePoint 2010 and FAST Search. I know it’s not the same, but maybe will be useful for a few of you.
I miss you guys, who could make it to London, and wish you a great week there and a safe journey to your home afterwards! Hope to see you soon!
